A New Year of Activity

The Friends have begun a new year of activity with our annual meeting held January 26. The bylaws for the organization were changed, the major change being that now instead of officers (President, Vice-P, Treasurer), an executive council consisting of equal members will serve the Friends. Volunteers were accepted for the positions on the Executive Council and voted into office. Thanks so much to everyone who volunteered!

Plans to purchase a big-screen TV for the library were discussed and approved. The south wall of the children's section is a perfect place for it, up out of the way, and easy for everyone to see on Movie Nights! More about that as we progress.

Also approved were plans to purchase a fax machine for patron use. More about that later as well.

We want to thank Jim Grossardt very much for entertaining us. I expected a nice singalong....some songs we all knew, accompanied by Jim's guitar (library songs?)....but instead, we laughed ourselves silly! (That chicken song was dangerous.....)
